book playlists

I think my mom is the one who passed down her love for music to me. She’s always been the kind of person who loves to dance at celebrations. For her, a holiday without music is not a holiday at all.  Ever since I was little, she would always play music on in the background while doing her chores.

Reading, walking, writing, working — music is always with me.

Every playlist I make is organized chronologically. Almost every song reflects the characters’ inner worlds and emotions, the vivid scenes, and the atmosphere that pulls you in. I love putting meaning not only into the text, but also expressing it through music

In A bubble

There are 50 songs in the playlist. I wanted them to reflect the number of chapters and, as a cherry on top, help you dive into yourself and reflect if you listen to the playlist afterward.
I listened to the playlist in the background while writing
In A Bubble or working.
Some songs I used to listen when I was a teenager. I think you’ll recognize which ones they are by how vintage they already are.
I want something to remain within you after reading. And if not through my words, then through the words of the songs I’ve chosen.

moodboards

It’s fascinating how other people’s photos can immerse us in an unknown world, pulling us into it. They hold the memories of others, yet they help us feel something of our own. Something we once had. Something we long for. Or something we already have.

I love taking photos, as you’ve probably already noticed from my Instagram. Everything that might seem ordinary holds potential for me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, isn’t it?

The In A Bubble moodboard appeared before the book itself. Scenes in my head burst like balloons, and I wanted to do something with them. Not just write them down in notes, but see them once more outside of my own mind.
Half of the images in this moodboard were ones I deliberately searched for and added to show you what my characters were showing me. Some pictures I hunted down on purpose (like the green house and “
The Dark Cloud”), using them as direct references.
I like the way the bright, lively side of the moodboard gradually transforms into the darker one.
